Spatial computing is rapidly moving from novelty to necessity. As hardware becomes more accessible, designers must adapt their mindset from 2D screens to 3D environments.
In traditional web design, we rely on shadows and overlapping elements to simulate depth. In spatial computing, Z-index is literal space. This requires a fundamental shift in how we structure information hierarchy.
Mice and touchscreens are being replaced by eye tracking and hand gestures. This means UI components need larger hit areas, clear feedback loops without hover states, and intuitive volumetric interactions.
